Big news everyone! I am now officially properly British! My passport came today - I like it, it's really pretty with all these coloured papers with birds printed on them. And this fantastically pompous statement written on the inside of the front cover:
Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State Requests and requires in the Name of Her Majesty all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance, and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.
Thank you very much Your Majesty, for making me feel special. :)
Also in the envelope was a form asking me if I want to donate my organs to the NHS after I died, which I have willingly and gladly filled out. I get to choose which organs I want to give to the government and everything. I said they could take whatever they wanted. I mean, I really don't think that I'm going to let the government take my heart and then say NO NOT MY PANCREAS! I NEED THAT WHEN I'M DEAD! Nope, I'm more along the lines of TAKE THEM! I SURRENDER MY ORGANS FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY!
Also, have managed to finally get Service Pack 2 onto my computer! Wooooo! Which means I've had far too much fun downloading updated versions of all the stuff I couldn't get beforehand. :DDD
Had a brilliant science lesson today. We're supposed to be investigating the effects of different variables on pendulums (trust me, it's rivetting stuff) but instead my group got bits of plasticine and made a platicine model of Discworld, complete with elephant and turtle. Oh, and sword-in-the-stone with a pencil. It was well good.
