It's the beginning of the end
Oh dear. It actually happened - Boris got Mayor of London. I must now prepare for when Britain becomes the laughing stock of the entire world.
The best (by which I mean 'worst) voting story I have heard so far:
A friend of a friend is a Zimbabwean living in London, so he was trying to vote in the Zimbabwe elections over the phone. So he called them up and got an auto message saying, "If you would like to vote for Robert Mugabe, press one. If you would like to vote for one of the other candidates, press two." So he pressed two and got send to an operator who said, "If you want to vote for an opposition candidate, I'm going to have to take down your name and address [so we can come and burn down your house]." So he gave them his name and address and told them he wanted to vote for Morgan Tsvangirai. And then just before he hung up, an automated voice told him, "Thank you for voting for Robert Mugabe."
