Vol.11 ファッション - Fashion

「There’s also the fact of expressing myself, but the healing side is bigger. It’s always next to me and I’m being encouraged by it」

I like accessories and shoes too, but actually my biggest weakness is bags. Even though I don’t have so many things to carry around (laughs). When I start a new drama, it is established custom to surely buy a new bag in order to enter the right mood. This time, I chose my favourite tote bag type.

Today I wanted to match a heavy knit with a normal pair of pants and a t-shirt, and then I took a mint green sweater and add it. As accessories, I am wearing my favourite ones. It is an “interview day” all day long, so I won’t wear my private clothes until I come back home. Bluntly, also a jersey would have been fine, but I somewhat had the feeling that “today” would have been wasted so I tried to pay at least a bit of attention about what to wear.

I simply like fashion. Since I have around me professionals of that area and it’s an environment where I’m touched by both vogue and first class stuff, I’m supposed to often absorb all of this naturally. But my present self doesn’t put so much effort in what I’m wearing. When I was 20 year old I really tried hard, buying and gathering together items, trying to learn brand names with all my might, but… recently absolutely not. When I find something I like, one season [clothes], I dress beyond my means only with them. I don’t open a “Kamenashi collection” every day, you know (laughs)

I dress clothes of many different styles, like “American casual” or “kireime” [*], and also for example concert costumes I have my opinion accepted and added to them. For this reason, “my style fashion” can’t pass under just one genre or taste. What I can define as tendency is that I want it to include “labour”. it’s the same as my performances (laughs). If it’s high brand western clothes I want to dress down, but also a T-Shirt bought at a conbini I want to customize cutting and scribbling it and wear it. The same goes for the hairstyle. I guess I like when they’re a bit messed and you played with it.

But I’m not so stubborn to be picky at that level. Following the job or the role, also a simple black hair is perfectly fine. Tough it seems that if I go for black hair, I’ll become normally plain (laughs) , but now I’m able to think that if after doing a trial it doesn’t suit me, it’s ok to go back to how I was before. Even though when I was 20 years old I was a bit pickier, saying things like “the bangs must be like this!” (laughs)

The fact I don’t like girlish clothes is that they look all the same.

Girl fashion is the same. Now I’m not particular about it. Just, more than a girlish floral one piece, I prefer a more harsh/scathing style, but this isn't the only problem with clothes. About the loosely soft one pieces, I think that what I don’t like about those is that not only I have the impression they force out the girl too much, but also the people wearing them tend to look all the same. Since I want to see more about “that real person”, I end up thinking that with the decoration called “clothes” they’re concealing too much what they have inside. Nevertheless I don’t limit saying that a simple and scathing outfit looks nice in a charming way either. At the end, clothes are a fact of matching with the person that’s wearing them. It’s because she’s Kimura Kaela-chan that sharp items looks good, or it’s because she’s Shibasaki Kou-san that also a floral one piece doesn’t look too naive, these are also true, right? At the end, I think that clothes show what’s inside that person and the core he/she has.

Probably I stopped trying too much in fashion because I got to know that simple appearance has no meaning. The older you get, the more wins what there’s inside, and if you don’t match clothes with what there’s inside, it doesn’t matter how much expensive clothes you buy, you won’t dress them skillfully.

For the present me, fashion is expression of oneself, but more than this it’s a thing that heals you. Something like having “stuff you like” around you and being supported by them. Isn’t probably the same about beauty? Your tension raises thanks to the items you like, and if you can be a bit more beautiful and cool with that, your spirit grows up and increases too. For this reason, I think it’s better to relax and enjoy fashion, and while being encouraged by fashion, to give full life to what is inside of you and become a “you” who your favourite clothes suit to.

Kame’s fixed point of observation

During the theatrical play “DREAM BOYS”, Kamenashi-kun challenged high-level group traditional Chinese wire flyings. Today is an interview during the show period. Compared to one month ago, his face is quite more slender, the body line is very firm, and what, he said he has lost 5 kg. “There are the flyings, but also before a stage play I don’t feel like eating and adding stuff in my stomach… in the whole day, I drink only vegetable juice and fluid citric acid. After the play I eat one time, so I have naturally lost weight”. You’ve become even cooler, but look to the end of the year and pay attention to your body!

I've recently seen many Maquia translations evidently from my English version but without credits and this both deluded and pissed me off. Link back to this entry doesn't cost a lot of effort, you play fair and square and make me happy. Is it so bad?à
