saw widespread panic for the first time friday night with sue at penn's landing. she's been wanting to get me to see them for two years now, and it's just kept not happening, for reasons related to bad communication, laziness, and money.

Apaprently you've been living under a rock. Widespread Panic are AWESOME. Hugely hugely popular in Colorado... every subaru or vw you see in the moutain towns has a WP bumper sticker. If you like them you definitely need to check out Yonder Mountain String Band, too. They're a tiny bit less jammy, and a bit more bluegrassy, but they pull the exact same crowds and often tour together out west.

Oh, and I meant to say I can burn some CDs of both groups for you when I get back to the states. Sadly most of the good Widespread Panic bootlegs are in a format not supported by Mac, and I need to download a new usic player that can deal with them.

BTW, desperately wanted to talk to you the past two weeks, but turns out phone calls from Crete are outrageously expensive (nearly a Euro a minute!) and I'm pretty broke, atm.
