If I remember correctly, this fic was inspired by a wonderful story by Vixenette, namely "Deep". It was then that I discovered the great potential of stories dealing with some version of unrequited R/S love.

I'm so glad this worked for you! I tried hard to let Sirius's actions speak for themselves, and to withdraw as the narrator as far as possible - thus allowing the reader to complete the work himself by his understanding. I'm delighted that I managed to achieve it.

I too love the awkward moments; there is something endearing about them. Some not fully revealed potential, and you end up wondering when and how it will surface.
