Naruto chapter 500:

BAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW

I don't even want to write about it, next week is going to be horribly depressing.

If anybody needs me I will be off in my own little world where Uzumaki family is happy and together (and all alive) and Kushina beats up her husband and son daily just for laughs.

naruto, comics

But at least this way we know that Kishimoto can't spoil her. She'll be awesome forever and ever and Kishimoto's misogynistic attitude and ability to destroy his female characters will never get near her.

And she can live on happily in my head in a Naruto AU of how things should have been and without an unhealthy layer of sexism slathered on top of her existence. <3

Kushina is awesome times super awesome, and I wish that she could have been the awesome mom I knew she would have been.

Yeah, there is the small bonus of her being awesome and not having her character ruined like so many other female characters... but I'm still sad to see her go already. :(

Damn you Kishimoto, for making me so attached to these dead characters! Not that I won't eat up the angst that comes out of their story, but still...

Poor Kushina...it's sad that Naruto didn't grow up in what would have been a great family!

I've noticed most shounen manga doesn't involve the character's family at all. Either they are dead or have very minimal screen time. I wish families would be more involved in the these kinds of series. =(

Yeah, it's a shame! They always seem to focus on the importance of friendship but rarely go into things like family ties, haha. I guess shounen characters just have to have the added drama of not having a family...
