turn one light switch off and on until there's no way that the bulb didn't go out. Turn one light switch on and keep the third off. so go into the room, one of the bulbs will be white because it went out, one of the bulbs will be on and the other off.

Now what's the real answer?

that answer works :)

the original answer is to turn one on for say 30 minutes and then turn it off. turn another one on. leave the third one off. So when you go into the room, the hotter bulb that is off will be linked to the first switch. The bulb that's on of course links to the second. This only leaves off bulb for the third switch.

Sveet, no? Tak asked me this one and he accidentally slipped out a huge hint - you have no time limit for this task - and that's how I solved it.
