We have a “small” pond behind our house. And because spring is starting and all the animals are finally awake I made some pictures^^ ( pictures this way )
the winter lasted long enough^^ for normal its "winter" from around november till february. 4 months. Not all the time with snow but freezing cold -_- Now finally it's over \^^/ (at least I hope so)
rofl. the eggs are kind of slimy... but I don't think, they will be much longer in our pond. the fish will eat them all. (poor frog babies)
Sorry for interrupting, but: you can be glad for yourself here. We once stayed at a youth hostel or something like that and that was practically at the end of the world... with lovely landscapes, ediable food and a a lot of green and a pond and frogs... let's just say that the poor fellows who had the rooms closest to the pond hardly got any sleep because these things are amazingly loud compared to their little bodies...
*giggles* just because the little froggies will be eaten in a few days doesn't mean, that the parents will stop making noise^^ A few years ago when the fish wasn't this big, a lot of toads survived and they are making a big noise in summer^^ But the room close to the pond is my brother's. and my window is headed in a different direction so I don't hear them too loud^^
they're fascinating....maybe coz ive never seen them up close like this before =P wonder how they taste like though ( to the fish i mean), like globs of jelly? have u seen them hatch out before?
