MANIFEST: Part 2 - The Weekend

MANIFEST: so awesome it took me two whole days to get over it and write up the summary.Met Kristy at the train station, bright and early, and we headed off together. Put the recognisable half of my costume on once we were on the tram with some other cosplayers, and promptly got weird looks from normal people.^_

Bah, you don't have to use pretty effects ALL the time. That was a generalisation. I rarely use effects myself, and sometimes people that do use effects over do it and ruin the whole video.

The ARIA manga is pretty good. The buildings have lots of detail and really give you a sense of being there, in Venice (or the Japanese shrine in one chapter). The anime kind of dilutes it by have the canals too wide; too much spacious water. (*wrote the review for ARIA in the Program Book*)

Checked out the cosplay contest; some very nice costumes but no particularly memorable skits. Too many songs/dance skits.
(Also, much much love to the non-competing group that were cosplaying as FmA manga characters!)
