Oh wow how amazing. And thank you so much for using my photos.
When I first entered the JIB auditorium I thought it'd be easy to take good photos, but the big screens created a backlight that surrounded the whole panel. My usual settings turned yellow and I had to redo everything.

Thank you so much for taking the photos and letting fandom play with them. I hope you didn't take my discussion of the difficulty in working with con photos as a critique of your photos. :| I've taken my share of flat out *awful* con photos, none of which are the case here. The photos look awesome!

Turning them into icons, though, is a challenge because of con lighting conditions. Cropping pretty pictures of someone sitting in a chair & obscuring part of his face with a mic at to his mouth into anything other than a boring icon is tough for me. Some people do it effortlessly. Not I. But I couldn't resist! The boys were sooooo pretty and happy at JIB Con!

no no by all means I didn't take it as critic. I actually could relate. I was happy that someone saw it, how difficult it is to take photos and thank you so much for the compliment. To be honest I'm not all that happy with the photos and actually gave up too soon. I now look back and think I could have tried harder, worked on the settings more and the outcome would be perfect. Maybe next time who knows. Last summer when I faced pretty much the same problem in Barcelona I stayed sleepless all night working on the settings. Now those photos were better. Again thanks for using the photos.

Whew! Good to know that I didn't accidentally misspeak. I can't tell you the number of good shots that I had that were ruined at the last second when somebody in front of me shifted, when ten other flashes went off at the same time, I'd gotten the lighting sort of figured out but they flashed something on the screen that changed the color & lighting, or even just the ambient light was not enough and I had to choose between underexposed or blurred by movement -- but all the photos were grainy due to noise caused by low light.

I finally made it to the front row only to discover that the angle up to the stage was odd. It's ALWAYS a series of compromises and I never solved it to my satisfaction. I REALLY appreciate the photos. Thank you. ♥
