A man’s arms wrapped around her. Something Isabella had told herself she would never let happen again. All the years with her husband had been enough to put her off for life. That was the point of running away in the first place, to put an end to all this.
Robin did it instinctively, without thinking, without knowing what memories his arms around her conjured in her mind. He held her too tight. Their bodies too close. He was trapping her, could almost be choking her.
He was only protecting her, Isabella fought to remember that.
She wanted to scream.
