Wasn't there a line in Shakespeare about pitying a man who couldn't spell his name a number of ways? And at least you knew who I was speaking of. But for variety, here are a few other tries:

Merriel
Muriel
Maryelle

The writings in my period write Margaret these ways:
Margery
Margot
Margarete

[Margaret is my middle name, so I notice it in historical writings.] Now for Isabel, there is also a wealth of ways:

But Meriel and Muriel are pronounced two very different ways. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I was just trying to help. If I choose a name I hope people would use the one I chose rather than doing whatever they wanted with it.
