Housewarming party- date options

It looks like we could do a housewarming party on one of these two Saturday nights this month.  Which one is better for most folks?

Sat 16th
Pro's
it's sooner, and parties are fun
Randy isn't teaching a workshop the next day

Cons
its Coronet weekend so some folks may be gone to that event.
less stuff will be done on the place by then

sept 23rd is Iain's b-day... and it's never rained on his birthday in the GVRD since he's been born.

The weekend of the 23rd will probably be better for me, for what that's worth.

I like the 16th.
Wasn't planning on Coronet. and p's birthday is the 21st though; we could work both in the same weekend if need be.

I like the 16th. It...promotes unpacking. Eeek. :)
It also seems better for some of the AD students.

OTOH, we can just have two parties..
