CSA shipments - weeks 8,9, and 10

I'm playing catch up today on three weeks worth of backlogged CSA posts. It's not terribly interesting so saving them up seemed best. Mostly at this point I think I'm cataloging the frustration for myself so that I make a better choice this winter.

I'm sorry the vegetables aren't arriving intact, that is very disappointing! Glad you were able to salvage some stuff.
I had a tomato and cheese salad tonight with tomatoes from my garden. They are always better. I don't have a lot and the neighbors had tons...I am hoping to catch them outside, admire their crop and be offered the excess...it happens most summers.

Mmmmm.
One of my favorite summer meals before I gave up cheese was a fresh tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad drizzled with a little oregano, oil, and vinegar. That was so, so, good.
Hope the neighbors come through with the goods soon.
