Livingstone turned to Walters and asked, 'Is this a panicked 'No' or an angry 'No?'''It's a' - Walters hesitated - 'futile 'No.''

I think this game is going to kill me, too. D: Ohmygod.

I am literally worried about this XD I know that we don't know the context of the lines, and they could very well be from a worst-case scenario so we might not even hear them if we do a "good" playthrough...BUT STILL.

WHAT?

OMG, this game is going to kill me. So much.

I think I need a Kaidan plushy to go snuggle and hope that whatever this is doesn't end up with either Kaidan or Ash being dead and and and....

Dammit, Bioware, I want my happy ending! D:

Also, I think that I'm going to have to finish my canon-Shep as Kaidan-loyal now (I've been waffling over how I want things to go for awhile now), even though the plan was always to have her try to fix things up with him in ME3. But I don't want to risk it now! Especially not on the first playthrough. If he dies, I will just sob.

That's what I've been doing. Well, I started replaying my canon Shepard so that she could be Kaidan-loyal (also there were tons of sidequests that I needed to finish in ME1)
I am determined not to let myself think about the possibility of the VS dying because Bioware has stressed that folks who stayed loyal to their ME1 LI will be happy with how things are resolved.also, I need to tell myself that because not only will canon!Shep flip out if something happens to Kaidan, but my poor Noah Shep will be beside himself if he loses Ashley...again. He's still broken up over Horizon. Still. (He needs to get over it, if you ask me)

That's kind of the same thing I'm doing with my canon-Shep. I'll probably have two endgame saves for her perfect playthrough - one where she's loyal, one where she isn't - so that I can playthrough with the non-loyal one once I have an idea of how much my heart will be crushed. And I seriously want a happy ending on my first playthrough. I personally think she's trying to avoid/ignore her feelings for Kaidan because she doesn't do well with emotions and whatnot, but I think she would probably break if Kaidan died.

If I ever get my Kasim Shepard through ME2 and playthrough ME3 with him...oh, he would not do well with losing Ash.

...after the emotional kick to the heart that was the Anders romance for me, I'm setting myself up for Bioware to break my heart again. They're rather good at it.
