i haven't gotten my salary from the atm yet >.it's weird that the card is "blocked or not active" as the machine said... *sigh

atm cards are activated when you withdraw from the atm's bank. (unless automatic na ba ngayon?) you have to change the original pin or something.
i'm not sure though anymore. for example, if you got a pnb atm, you activate it at one of pnb's many branches.

nabigay ung card sa akin more than a month ago and i only used it last saturday... and i changed the pin first... baka kasi di ko ginamit kagad?

no, it should only deactivate if kulang sa amount na maintaining balance ang card.
you have to uhm either ask the bank (if you have time) or the payroll dude or HR dude if they can fix the problem.
i also planned to do the same thing - wait til a month to withdraw, para malaki yung naipon, pero i had to withdraw it the day it was issued eh - for my expenses. pero i think it should still work - try different atm machines (it happens sometimes di puwede sa atm machine na gusto mo).
