I don't know what happened with Adam, but I do know that four months is a pretty substantial relationship. So there's no need to feel like you can't keep a boyfriend--sometimes things don't work out.

You are a brilliant writer. I love your writing.

Graduation doesn't mean losing your friends -- I went through that whole trauma, and the people who are important to me are still people I talk to all the time and see whenever we can. It's a tough change, but it isn't impossible.

Dearest Mandy, I wish I could remove all of the sadness and uncertainty from your life. The future is scary. Very scary. But there are a few things to keep in mind... First and most importantly, your friends love you more than you know. No matter where you end up, they will always be there for you. Secondly, you have so many opportunities open to you! I mean money and security and all of that will always be an issue but this is the only time in your life when you'll be able to start with a clean slate and make of yourself whatever you want. Try not to doubt your abilites and your courage-- I don't! As for boys... they will always be there. If you take care of yourself, pretty soon someone will come along who wants to do it for you. And, if it makes you feel better, I would happily spend the rest of my life with you! I love you tons and tons and I hope that you feel better soon.
