I have a question. I saw that you have to pay for an account there, so what's the benefit of having one? I bookmarked the page so I can check it for updates, but I don't want to pay for one if I have an LJ account.

Actually, Dreamwidth is free when someone sends you an invite code.

Many on LJ are nabbing a backup journal on Dw because the TOS is far less invasive and strict as far as fandom goes. Plus, their customer service rocks the house.
