When the first Iron Man movie was in production, Terrence Howard talked about a three-picture arc for his character, James "Rhodey" Rhodes. The film even set up Rhodey's War Machine action in the sequel, when he looked longingly at the Mark II suit and said, "Next time." Then, in October, Marvel announced that Don Cheadle would be filling ( Read more... )

At least he doesn't sound like he's super upset about it anymore. I mean in an interview, that might not be the truth anyway, but just from the sounds of it. Still goina miss him, and it was kind of a nasty move on Marvel's part to do it behind his back (that we know about).

I think he spent so much time around Robert that the Downey's crazy metaphors rubbed off XD

I don't know how to feel about this. While he sounds humble in the last line when speaking about Gwyneth, I don't agree with him about being a Friends thing. RDJ has every right to make more money than the rest, he is the title character and the fact that Howard made more money than him in the first film is just down right crap.

I don't know, I guess I'll wait and see how it turns out with Cheadle.

What about the rumors that he didn't do a good job? I mean, I loved him in the final cut, but I heard that they had to work hard to get that out of him. I think that's a justifiable reason to recast.

As for the money issue, RDJ being the lead and showing that he can handle it responsibly now means he should get paid more. I'm definitely glad Gwyneth Paltrow is still Pepper, but tbh I'd see any Iron Man movie as long as Downey was in it (and then bitch about everyone else getting replaced).

But at least he does sound classy about Don Cheadle taking over. I've soured a bit on Terrance Howard after some of the things he's said.

I'd like to read/hear more on this. :0
There'd been hints at that here and there, and in the way people phrased things... so I'd like to read more on that. ;3
