Jon Favreau was busy on the red carpet of the I LOVE YOU MAN premiere in Hollywood a few days back.

First he spoke to ET and said all of his cast member's deals were done ( and now EW has posted their conversation with Favs )

Well, it's not like the final product of the first IM looked anything at all like the shooting script. They were revising pages the day of the shoot. So I'm not worried about that.

It'll be amazing.

Improvisation is one of Favreau's strengths (and Robert's, too). I went to that "live commentary" screening back in September and Favreau said that he likes to tailor the role to the actor and not the actor to the role. For instance, the part where Pepper corrects Tony about the painting not being from the "spring" period was actually Gwyneth correcting Jon about what it said in the script. So, he put it in because he knew she'd sound natural saying that.

The first IM was filmed almost in sequence and that allowed them to reference previous improvs. I wonder if they'll be doing that again.

That implies that Sherlock Holmes is not totally badass - which I assure you is not that case. Don't be hatin', Fav!

wait, what did I call? The unfinished-at-time-of-shooting(again) script? Or the tailoring to actors?

*will totally take credit either way*

Lol. I think it was you that said something about how the script was probably more of a rough outline and that the dialogue would probably be worked out when they got started filming.

But whether or not you said it is irrelevant. You're still cool either way. ;)

I remember having a convo somewhere about Justin Theroux's script-writing skillz... and my Spideycommon sense is going off about this script being even LESS done than the first one. *chews nails*

I hope RDJ and Mickey are still up on their canon because they're gonna need to improv the crap out of this movie right now.

I'll take any coolness I can get ;)
