Well, lookie here what I found.  RDJ on the set of Sherlock Holmes.  (With Jude Law as the trusty sidekick Watson - the Jarvis of Sherlock, if you will.)

It's the hat.  It just looks so... funny on him.  ;)

For the love of God, Robert, fix your hair.  Seriously, I'm begging you.

See, for me, RDJ with beard/goatee = Tony Stark.  RDJ without beard/ ( Read more... )

he had a nearly perfect British accent when he played Charlie Chaplin in "Chaplin"...he's really good with accents...if "Tropic Thunder" showed us anything, it's that, because he perfected the use of an Australian accent which is one of the hardest to capture...i'm sure that Robert has only improved his British lilt in order to fit the time period and the character...

also, i think his hair is utterly adorable...^____^

that's all from me...=)

RDJ has been in everything and done everything! From Weird Science to Chaplin to that movie he did with Whoppie to Alley McBeal to Wonder Boys and Zodiac to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and the Singing Detective to Iron Man and Tropic Thunder. And honestly, that's barely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to RDJ. He's really been one of the most consistantly brilliant actors for years, the drugs are just what halted his career for a bit.

He actually did a lot more movies than just those two. Watch some more!
And eventually give a little bit of attention to his acting rather than his hair and goatee and u'll find out he's a very versatile actor who can change pretty everything (voice, face, movements, accent) if the role requires it!

I already give a great deal of attention to his acting when I see him or any other actor on screen, much more attention than I give to his appearance. I am very much aware of his skill and versatility. However, seeing as how these are behind-the-scenes still photos, there's no acting to look at.

I have no doubt that he'll do well in this role - all I ever said was that I couldn't imagine it without seeing it.

I've been devouring his movies lately, and honestly I think he can pull off just about anything. Even in a bad movie (we will not speak of "The Singing Detective" or "US Marshals"), he shines. I thought he was brilliant in "Game 6," which is a movie I don't see talked about a lot, well, EVER, and if it had been anyone else but him in "Only You" the character would have come off as more creepy and stalkerish rather than somewhat charming and desperate.

"Chaplin" is next on my list; I bought the 15th Anniversary DVD that they released this week at Best Buy. I'm looking forward a ridiculous amount to this movie.

Honestly, though, "Iron Man" and KKBB are still my hands-down favorites.

you didn't like The Singing Detective??? i thought it was interesting and directed quite interestingly...rdj basically portrayed two entirely different personalities in that movie to the T...also, i mean, come on...rdj in a fedora!! ^___^

i completely agree with you about US Marshalls...*cringes*...but i think the only other movie i didn't like with him was Air America...i thought it was kinda pointless...=/

No, I get what they were trying to do there, but "The Singing Detective" just didn't work for me as a piece of filmmaking. Maybe they just spent too much time on the sex scenes and not enough time on the really interesting parts for me to like it, I don't know.

I posted a rant about US Marshals after I saw it (again). BAD movie. Just...yeah, bad. I swear, I do more research for a 100-word drabble than the writers did for their pivotal scene...
