NYC Midnight Tweet a Story

Last week I signed up for NYCMidnight's Tweet Me A Story contest and then promptly forgot about it until Thursday evening about an hour before the deadline to submit.  The contest was to write a 140 character "story" using an assigned word.  For my group the word was "reservation."

Today we got the first round results and I made it into the top 25

Congratulations! I really like yours, this kind of writing fascinates me.

Also, I like that you took the word 'reservation' in a non-standard direction. Maybe it's the librarian in me, but I expected it to be about reserving something :)

Thanks! I was actually surprised so many people picked a reservation for a restaurant. My mind immediately went to an Indian reservation.
