Buy a bug net. The worst animals get is just angry, if you hit them with it. Well, I guess there's also the moving away, bit, if you really care.

Not that I've hit animals with bug nets, that is.

somebody hit me with a bug net once. then they broke their leg on my tooth and had to go to the hospital

At least it wasn't your fault. The money you'd spend for the hospital bills would be money better spent on furniture and clothing.
