the charity functions strike back

Another fiscal quarter, another charity benefit, another chance for Tony Stark to be important at other important people.
And another chance for Pepper to show up with a date.
So far, Jarvis feels like he's a bit better prepared than he was last time.

Pepper has been preparing for this one. When she found out about her raise, she decided to splurge. On herself, and possibly, in a way, on Jarvis too. Pulling on a few strings opened by Tony's name, she had a dress made for her, a simple but elegant green dress.

So, when she walks into the Inn from her apartment wearing it for the first time, her face is a bit anxious.

....................And Jarvis thought she looked good last time.
He's staring. And while part of him is going say SOMETHING before she takes it the wrong way, he's having a difficult time finding the words.
She's beautiful.

"I know. I look an absolute idiot." Pepper sighs. "I totally don't belong in any of these fancy dresses."

"You do not look like an idiot. Quite the opposite, in fact."
She should be able to tell that he means it.
