Rose Tyler (AU) | Doctor Who lone_defender September 29 2010, 01:13:23 UTC
She slept peacefully enough, heavily enough. She might even have curled up to the nearest warmth while asleep. Her waking was not gradual, however. She snapped from dreams to awake with jarring suddenness.

...And abstract confusion.

Oh...goodness; Barbara's head was pounding like there was some kind of..something or something. She wasn't sure but it hurt! In fact, it hurt so much that thinking wasn't very possible at that moment.

Which was good because she found herself in a rather peculiar situation.

"....Rose?"

Oh. Well. That was unusual.

She stared for a few moments, before shaking her head, and pressing a palm to her forehead. "Um...hello?"

"What are you...uh, that is to say, what are we doing here?"

It had occured to Barbara that this wasn't her bed and because of the hotel logos on everything, she assumed that it wasn't Rose's bed either.

A light breeze tickled the skin of Barbara's stomach and she blushed, realising her present state and went to pull up the bed's covers, only to realise that her hands were caught on something above her head. She closed her eyes and sighed before looking up and staring in horror at the pink, fluffy handcuffs around her wrists.

"Ah..." She frowned and stared up at the handcuffs. Pink and fluffy. Tacky. "Was hopin' you might know."

It was possible one or both of them had been drugged and set up in this position, but why?

"Unfortunately," she grunted as she tugged at the things around her wrists, "I'm just as in the dark as you are."

She kept her eyes on the ceiling, wondering what all those hooks were for...

She pulled herself up to a sitting position, and scanned the room for her jacket, where the sonic would be...but found nothing. Frustratingly. "What's th'last thing you remember?"

Barbara scrunched up her features in concerntration. It took a lot of concerntration to think through the pain of her head.

"The Doctor said he'd meet us....somewhere. He'd dropped us off at Zapphod's Bar and said that he would meet us somewhere."

That was all she could remember and with a huff, she sunk back into the pillows a bit more.

Rose bit her lip, squinting up at the ceiling and filing through the bits of her memories of the night before. "That...sounds right, yeah. I went there t'pick up a friend. Can't remember anythin' else. Could be someone slipped somethin' in our drinks...?"

"I'd say we would have had to have started first. I can't imagine anyone slipping anything past you."

Which was true. Rose was quite sharp for such a young thing.

"Rose, I don't suppose you know where the key is for these, hm?"

"I don't remember havin' more than one...could be they drugged us some other way?" Because, currently, she was fairly certain that was the only way she'd wake up as she did.

At Barbara's question, she turned to search through the nightstand. "Should be somewhere nearby, yeah?"

"Did we eat anything?" Why is the word 'kebab' suddenly springing to mind?

"I..I would assume so. Or at least hope so."

Barbara tried to sit up a bit to watch Rose search, hoping that something would come from it...

"Can't remember..." She shook her head after a moment, before making a triumphant sound, and retrieving a bit of metal. It wasn't the key, that still eluded her, but it'd work just as well. "Here, I'll have ya outta those in a mo'."

"Thankyou, Rose."

Barbara stared uncomfortably at a far wall while Rose worked. When she heard the clink of the cuffs unlocking, she rubbed at her wrists and pulled a sheet up, over her form.

She sighed, "thankyou, again."
