I work a day job. Who doesn't? Everyone has to pay the bills and their credit card(s) and their whatever. Why do I feel so stinkin' dissatisfied having to do it? What makes me so special that I think I should be able to do what I want with my days and still get paid for it? Like teach yoga or run Olive Bar Studio or record a new album... I ( Read more... )

You're so awesome! I know that I'm going to get where I want to be, it's just that I hate the trapped feeling. Thanks for the wonderful words. You know, I still can't beleive we've been out of high school for over 10 years, and I haven't seen you since my junior year!! Hey, are you feeling better today? I had a VERY bad day yesterday and didn't check my LJ. I do like peppermint tea, but gingerale is just as effective. I find that the warmth of the tea is usually what settles my tummy.

You know I am going through this SAME thought process this week!
I would rather be a hair sytlist and a yoga teacher!
I hope to have my certification by next year.

Where are you located? I'm also thinking of opening a studio of my own in about 5 years. Where are you getting your cert?

I am in Georgia.
I work in real estate now, which helps with maybe one day finding a place to have a studio.
My dream would be a yoga/meditation studio maybe connected to a tea room?

Oh my gosh! That totally where I was going in my mind! I'm from Georgia, but located in Nashville. I have a couple of really good ideas for a meditation studio/garden, and possibly have some connections to organic shops, tea rooms, etc. Cool! We should keep in touch!
