I'd like to be added as a friend -- it seems we have quite a few interests in common besides the Potions Master (I'm a historical costumer and used to teach Regency-era dancing).

That is so amazing! I would love to be able to dance in the regency style - though to tell you the truth and style would be fine. I'm not very coordinated. I'll friend you back too!

Oh, Regency dancing really isn't that difficult, except for maybe the waltzing. But even Regency waltzing is easier to do than the Viennese style that was popular during the Victorian era.

If you ever saw the show on PBS (or whatever the Canadian equivalent would be) where they replicated a Regency-era house party, there's one scene where they had a ball in the conservatory, and the dance they were doing was "The Duke of Kent's Waltz," which is one of my favorites. I think I shrieked like a fangirl when I recognized the music. :-P

No I haven't, although we do get PBS in Canada (I get the one from NY and Boston). I saw the 1900 House which was really good, but I'll have to see if I can find this one you've mentioned. I'll make sure to keep my eyes peeled for it. From what I've seen in other BBC productions it doesn't seem that difficult, but I imagine it's just remembering patterns - mind you I have some trouble when I go to ceilidhs and they're fairly simple patterns, but that may have more to do with the gin ;)

I'm not bugging you to add me, I just had to say I love your mood theme! Did you make it?

Thanks, I love it too ;)
But it was actually made by piracy and I can't for the life of me remember where I got it. I think it must have been over at northmanfans since that's the only place that makes sense.

Thanks for the info! It's about time I change up my mood theme and that one is certainly enticing, to say the least.
YUM!
