Hope it's as good as the original. It's kind of like the same thing from Jack's POV. But don't be turned off - this one's a tear jerker simply because Jack is so frank.

Oooooh. Man. There are a couple of important things you have absolutely nailed here. Specifically:

Johnny is cool in a nonchalant way that makes you wonder if he’s really smart or really clueless -- which is exactly what's so intimidating about him. Spot-on.

He thinks about cool, he thinks about brown nipples. His name is John. That’s not cool at all, Jack thinks. -- I love how Jack goes back and forth between trying to logically sort it all out and and the images and sensations that are tangible. Um also - Brown nipples. God bless you.

Jack slows down, wondering if he’s being judged. -- Love this! Such a tiny detail that give so much character.

Next I demand that these two kiss accidentally on purpose ;) But I owe you one first.

oooooooooh. i am very interested and i like this johnny!

i admire how you're able to get inside of your character's minds. and my favourite part is how he focuses on what's "real" in the shower. great work

I'd love to do more! You guys have talked me into it. I really enjoy writing them, and I can't wait to see (yes, authors are clueless too) how I'll make them kiss (oops, did I give it away?) and still keep the mood. I know they can't have sex, because that would totally break the mood.

Jack could see Johnny’s nipple through the worn material. His foot slipped, and suddenly he was losing balance.
Lets face it - who wouldn't be distracted by Johnny's nipple ;)

He can only think about brown nipples, tan skin, cigarette husked voices, and tired white shirts. Because those are real.
I love the way that you've shown it's not the idea of Johnny that he wants but the reality. It's Johnny the man, not Johnny the actor that he's lusting after.

With a towel wrapped around his waist, he tries to see Johnny in it.
I do believe that this parting shot short circuited my brain. The images are so very very gorgeous!
