Yeah, it does. Also, it helps a bit with location, since, if we're on earth, we have to be somewhere far enough from the equator to have definite seasons. But we can't be too far north since there's still so much daylight.
Really? Do you just not like the cold? I guess if you're not use to it can be really troublesome. I don't mind it too much myself, and I really like the snow even if I can get a bit sick of it. Winters got really bitter where I was from...and, well, I spent the good part of two years schools years on an island of almost entirely of ice. So yeah.
Very well deduced there, you're right. The more answers we can get about this place the better prepared we'll be in the long run. How about a deal? I'll let you in on what I find out about the area and you do the same. So far my knowledge is limited to 'alien war' and 'possibly Chernobyl.'
[slightly amused] It may sound strange but when it snows things seem to get quiet- I never liked that silence. I'll admit winter has it's perks, spirits seem to rise around the holidays, gives people something to look forward to. [a bit of surprise and humor] Well going to school on an iceberg will get you used to the could really quick. I'm guessing you and I are from different places- never heard of a place like that being conducive to learning.
Heh. Sure. I was just making an observation, but I'll pass along anything that I hear. Or, if I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Hmm...'alien war'? Those things in the sky---Keepers, right? Are they part of the alien war?
Now that you mention it...I don't really know how I feel about that silence. But the holidays are always a great time, especially for family. We must be from different earths, then. Funny how that works. The school wasn't really situated for conventional learning. Rather, it was to teach us to be tough and self-possessed. Not really normal, but it's really good conditioning.
