Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays

Although I am an atheist, I partake in different holidays.

Growing up in a Catholic household, I participate in most Christmas traditions to this day. My family gets a Christmas tree and does a gift exchange on December 25th (which also happens to be my birthday). My mom bakes butter cookies so rich that we stock up on butter before the holidays.

Christmas, 'cause that's my religion... and I also observe the winter solstice, which is Yule to the Pagans. My father is an astronomer and we have always taken notice of solstices, equinoxes, comets, meteor showers, etc.
