Judging by the fact that Ben Mezrich hasn't got sued for the fact that he named the real woman behind Christy and re-told the story how she set her dorm room on fire because she was not only burning Eduardo's gift but also his clothes he left with her, the fire story is probably as true as the things Mark Zuckerberg blogged about hacking the houses' Facebook ( ... )

The trope of "Mark sees the movie; has an epiphany" (lulz) does seem to be popular, so... yes, I guess?

For me, it definitely wasn't a comedy (I don't think I laughed once), but your comparison to American Psycho and that whole noir-turning-into-farce ouvre is interesting.

I'm glad you gave it a shot! I've seen it a few times at this point, and I feel like each time I get more out of it, I like how many different readings are totally valid. I also like Andrew Garfield's face. \o/

The fandom's really impressed me with how steady and prolific it's been, there is fic aplenty for you! And for some reason a ton of fanmixes, if that's your thing.
