Love My Way pimp post

Because I am a lovely (and yes, shameless) person, I have uploaded to YSI episodes 1 & 2 of Australian drama, Love My Way. Absolutely no effort is required on your part in order to watch! You don't have to battle torrents! It will take you, what? an hour at most to download them on a high speed connection! wooooooooooo.

Oh, alright. You want actual reasons to watch this show? Well, that's why I have a picspam. :D

I am of the opinion that you should judge any given show on its opening credits. LMW's is one of my favourites. Floaty and surreal and cool. (Sadly, for the DVDs they've removed the Magic Dirt cover of the Psychedelic Furs song 'Love My Way' as the theme tune. That was a whole other level of awesome.)

This is Frankie. She is quirky. She is a painter. She has committment issues. (Okay, yes, she's kind of a cliche. But she really is very endearing.)

This is Tom. We love Tom. Tom hates it when people tell him their dreams. (I know the feeling, man.)

Tom is dark(e). He has rough sex in bathrooms at funerals. He used to be a coked-out celebrity chef, and now he's just really messed up. Sample quote: "Some people just need to be fuckups."

This is Charlie. Charlie does not fit my type -- yet I still inexplicably adore him. He's like a needy, latently fucked-up puppy dog. (Phenomenon: later in the series, Charlie puts on a pair of glasses and is transformed into a SEX GOD. This might be my glasses fetish talking, but really . . . whoa. Boy needs to wear glasses more often!)

This is Julia. She is the most willfully annoying character of the bunch; she's also my favourite. This may or may not be because I totally and completely covet her wardrobe. Sample quote: "I know people are dying in Palestine or whatever, but I need storage systems!"

Lou (Frankie and Charlie's daughter) is the glue that holds this crazy bunch together. She is one cute, not-annoying kid. I luff her.

So yes, lots of angst emerges from these pretty, clueless twenty/thirtysomethings and their twisty-turny relationships with each other. The first couple of episodes are pretty expository, but trust me, the overall season arc is awesome and there is Big Drama in the latter part of the season.
