I didn't know that one parent working for barely over min. wage, the other on unemployment and food stamps, and the regular hand out from the "'rents" including the continuous use of their car (and I wonder if their aware of the suspended license...), living in a house they can't afford with the money lending place down the road calling for payment

Meh, if I were going to move out of the U.S. it would be to Europe, preferably Italy. Besides which... sometimes it's amusing to watch other people brag about their lives knowing that what they consider doing great is really just a pathetic attempt to make do. There's nothing wrong with making do when you're honestly trying... but most that I know aren't, they're just mooching off the system so that they don't have to make an honest living.
