If you're in the dead centre, why not go to the Cricketers for a few swift pints. I still reckon it's the cheapest place in town to get a beer, but the down side is it's also the most popular.. swings and roundabouts

I haven't lived in town for over 9 months, but, if it's still there, The County is a nice pub to sip some drinks in, and it's just down the road from the Regent (if you're looking at the doors of the theatre, just head right for about two minutes).

The Grinning Rat is a great place and is also near to the theatre.
