My uncle believes I will change the world, or that I can. He is a very practical sort of guy as you might imagine, so I really don't know what value he sees in my dimly evident talents. The question isn't what your relatives believe, but what you believe...
Heavens, what type of a "delightful" school are you in that you hate it so much?
I go to Benjamin Cardozo High School, the most overcrowded school in New York City. Overcrowding affects all aspects of student life. For example: My schedule used to start period 1 and end pd 6. Now it ends a period later because they took me out of my gym class, stuck me in a random one pd. 7, and just left pd. 2 empty.
And two weeks into each term, Equalization occurs. This is because my school is being audited to make sure no classes surpass the legal limit of 34 students. Some always do, but if you have the misfortune of being in the wrong one, your schedule is fair game for arbitrary changes.
And if you WANT a change, well, you're fucked, basically.
Very true. College was miles better than high school, so hold out for that. Almost everything in life, I've found, was better than the boredom and bullshit of high school.
They like to tell you they're the best years of your life, but high school is only that way for the pathetic people who don't intend on making a life in the real world.
