Semen is a fairly common spelling of a Russian name. I have a couple of them as patients. It's pronounced more like Se-moyn. :)

Liiiike... Simon? Cool. Thanks. :) Maybe the gentleman is hard of hearing and that's why he never corrects our pronunciation. I knew it had to be something nicer in another language/culture, but our harsh American vocalisations induced giggle fits. :P
