they're best friends. occasionally they make out. it's all good.
Krystal wedges herself in between Sehun and Jongin. She’s wearing one of Jongin’s white button-up shirts --- just that and barely-there shorts. Her bare legs are tangled with Jongin’s, head buried in his chest, and around her waist are Sehun’s arms, his face pressed against her burgundy red hair and her back pressed tightly against his torso. This isn’t unusual for them.
They’re her best friends. The first time a boy broke Krystal’s heart --- it was Choi Minho, leader of the school’s soccer team and the school’s number one heartthrob --- Jongin and Sehun had completely defaced the bastard’s sports car and they vandalized his locker and they glued the pages of all of his books together and in effect he humiliated himself in class when Mr. Kwon asked him to read a passage from their textbook but he couldn’t open his. Krystal knew what they did of course and even if she tried to look disapproving, a faint smile still played on her lips and a silent thank you was in her eyes; Jongin and Sehun knew everything was alright.
The first time they get drunk, they do it together. They go to Sehun’s place since his parents were out of town and Jongin arrives with a paper bag filled with all sorts of alcohol he could get his hands on. They are all just barely brushing sixteen, so of course Jongin had to use a fake I.D. And of course Krystal had helped him get it, of course she had to lend him twenty bucks because he didn’t have enough cash on him but he had taken everything within sight. They drank everything and by eleven o’clock the three of them had all passed out in the living room --- Krystal slept in the middle of the two boys who both rested their heads on her shoulders.
Krystal was both of the boys’ first kisses --- she had kissed Jongin in front of her doorsteps when he walked her home from school and she had kissed Sehun when they were at his house making a project. Both occasions had led to make-out sessions but neither had led to anything serious. There were no secrets between the three of them so Jongin knew about Sehun’s experience and Sehun knew about Jongin’s. “Full disclosure”, as Krystal liked to call it.
On New Year’s eve, the three of them sit on Krystal’s bed, the boys on either side of her. One could say it’s worrisome how her parents aren’t the least bit bothered about Krystal having two teenage boys alone with her in her room, but the boys aren’t strangers to the Jungs. Eyes drooping and heads lolling to the side, the three of them give up their attempt to stay up until midnight for the countdown. Jessica walks in to check on them five minutes after midnight and finds Krystal in between the two boys, her head on Sehun’s shoulder and her hand loosely clasped with Jongin’s. Jessica rolls her eyes but smiles to herself.

Sometimes they make out, but usually they just play video games together (except Jongin is still bitter that Krystal of all people had beaten him and Sehun in an epic battle of Halo --- and twice in a row, too!). They do everything together, so Sunday siestas should be no exception.
The unmistakable sound of snoring stirs both Jongin and Sehun. Jongin rubs sleep away from his eyes and both of the boys’ gazes fall to the curled up figure of their best friend between them. Her mouth is parted and the rise and fall of her chest is even --- and yes, she is most definitely snoring. Jongin and Sehun look up at each other simultaneously. The corners of their lips tug up to form similar fond smiles.
"All good?" Jongin asks in a sleepy voice.
Sehun yawns and lowers his head back on the pillow. "All good."
a/n: i wrote this on one hell of a whim so i definitely never expected anything serious to come out of this; it's just a load of crack lmao. i also needed something to distract me from the pain brought on my cramps (sobs about it) and i guess this was good enough. that and i've been dying to write something fluffy and something for sekaistal as well ^^
