Akihiko was having similar thoughts. After all, while they were in different classes, different years, and obviously had wildly different social circles, he and Junpei did live across from one another. And yet they had obviously never spoken to one another.
The whole thing about the forum was confusing him, too. It seemed to be some kind of joke, or maybe a game in itself. Maybe if it was a game, Junpei could explain it a bit better to him - he didn't want to post there and make an idiot of himself, after all.
"C'mon in," he called, pulling a stray pair of jeans off of the video game system, tossing them on the floor behind him.
He hoped that the disasterous mess that was his room wouldn't turn Akihiko off of wanting to hang out, as he kicked a few more things under the bed. He half-wondered if the upperclassman's room was bigger than his, simply because of his position... Junpei knew that sure could use the extra space.
Akihiko twisted the knob and entered, glancing around the room with a bit of consternation. His own room wasn't completely free of clutter. There were a few things here and there that probably could stand to be put away, but it was nothing like this mess.
Still, it didn't matter that much, and he didn't want to be rude, since he barely knew Junpei. He smiled.
Junpei grinned widely at the older boy, tossing the jacket he was holding on top the nearest pile of clothes. There was at least a pathway cleared through the mess, which was more than he could usually say for the room.
"Yo," he greeted, plopping down heavily on the bed. The mattress creaked loudly, and he was pretty sure he was sitting on something other than mattress... probably a comic book, based on the crinkling noise. Oh well.
"So, I figured we could start with something easy, since you've never played a video game before," Junpei explained, trying hard to play it cool.

He crossed the hall and knocked on Junpei's door.

"Hey," he said, waving a gloved hand.

Then he paused and frowned, then reached down and extracted a comic book from under his behind, then settled back down on the mattress once more.
Feeling more comfortable, he grinned. "I really have no idea what's easy or not, so you'll have to guide me, Junpei-sensei."
