Little Wonders. It’s Casey’s turn to do something for Zeke.
The little table went rickety-rackety again. Casey glanced sideways, his lips curled in the corners in what could be a smile, but he didn’t say anything.
Now there it went again.
“Zeke-”
“Oh, I’m so sorry. Sorry.”
Then it was quiet except for the soft clicking of Casey’s fingertips against the keyboard.
And - the table wiggled again. Casey bit his lips, keeping quiet but slight annoyance was evident on his face. Zeke huffed.
“It feels so itchy, Case,” he said, poking a pen into the cast around his left arm.
“I know,” Casey replied absentmindedly, already absorbed again in the matter at hand, typing out Zeke’s report assignment that was due tomorrow. Lucky Zeke always prepared his projects in his notebook first so if this kind of thing happened, like Zeke breaking his own arm during a football match, Casey could still help. And he really didn’t mind Zeke sticking around like this, as long as he didn’t get so restless and ruin Casey’s concentration.
“Ah, Zeke?”
“Yes?”
“Why don’t you go get us some coffee?” Casey knew it was useless to get Zeke to take a rest instead, something he actually still needed to do.
Poor Zeke didn’t catch Casey’s real intention to send him away because, again, he had puffed and cursed, mostly to himself, and tried frantically to get rid of the itchiness.
“Sure!” he jumped off of his chair. Casey couldn’t help but cringe thinking Zeke might hurt himself again accidentally. “The usual, Case?”
“Yup,” Casey said dismissively, before suddenly a thought came to him. “Hey, Zeke.”
Zeke turned around. “What?”
“Gimme a kiss.”
Casey smiled inwardly at his boyfriend’s questioning look. Yeah, well. Suddenly he craved for Zeke’s lips. What was wrong with that? He beamed when Zeke just shrugged and smirked a little and bent down toward his tilted-up face.
