I kept thinking that Wilf will be totally doomed the longer the episode played. He's SO doomed and he will self-sacrifice spectacularly (probably for Donna). There's a part of me that wants to think he's a fobwatched Time Lord too. Hmm.
I wonder who the woman is that Wilf only sees. Another Time Lord? Hmm.
My piece of random guesswork/oh-please-make-it-so-Russell is that the woman Wilf sees is actually Romana, trying to stop Timothy Dalton's Evil Timelords from carrying out their plans.
Former companions being protected from the change (and the Doctor has to go help save them) would be a good way to fit the companions IN but unfortunately I think we know that's not the case for most of them.
Though I suppose it's possible that IF Martha is in it, there could be scenes of the Doctor and Wilf saving Sarah Jane and Luke, Martha and Donna, and then Rose and Jack just get fit in to different sequences.
As you may know, I'm a big believer in that 'Moffverse is a parallel universe' deal. Since it's nearly 90 minutes long, maybe the first half hour deals with the Master, the middle bit with Gallifrey, and the last half is the actual regeneration.

Fk, yus. I was thinking that there needs to be fic of Martha dreaming about the Master and not realising everyone else is BUT THIS IS BETTER.
