A bit that at least one of my betas thought made the blowing up of the Paradox Machine at the end of Last of the Time Lords make something resembling sense
HA HA HA. You so totally rock, my friend. And again, well done for finishing. I think I got about 3,000 words into mine before I hit a massive great big wall. Anyway, you certainly made this Martha/Tom shipper very happy.
By the way, I'm planning on reading Interference next, but I haven't read any Faction Paradox books before. Will I be completely lost, or do you think I should go back? (I had the best intention of reading in order when I started the EDAs but I got lazy and just skipped to Fitz after Vampire Science.)
You should read Alien Bodies anyway -- everyone should -- but it introduces a bunch of ideas Miles is building on in Inty (though in truth there's always a whole bunch of new ideas in a Miles novel, but there are two key ones in Alien Bodies that do come forward -- the Faction generally and something that doesn't actually pay off in Interference but is set up there). One of the things AB does make Sam interesting and if you like that element you should read another OrmanBlum, Unnatural History, which was published shortly before Interference and pays that stuff off. (It also plays with a bunch of the TVM stuff everyone likes to sweep under the rug, if that floats your boat.)
The Faction Paradox spinoffery is [*thinks carefully about wording to avoid potential spoilers*] set after the events of AB and Inty (and The Taking of Planet Five), so no need to read any of that to understand Interference.
I love Martha/Tom, but sadly while I have oodles of time right now I don't think I can read 47K words on my phone, smartphone or not. But I will try to read it in the future!
Going through them in order, though reserving the right to skim (which is how I got through t'8 Docs. A novel which has two or three disturbing parallels with MergePow omg). Partly I want to get more of a sense of Sam's character before the MergePow redraft yay.
I am about a quarter into Vampire Science and really enjoying it. Yaaaay?

Reading the story peeeeeeet sent me a long while ago now (v sry)
Since you seem to be writing, reading or reviewing every piece of fan fiction ever, I am not judgey!
I am interested in Faction Paradox reviews. I am embarking on a bit of an EDA-athon, so I suspect my appetite will be whetted.

Ooh, yay. You must post about it. And are you selecting or going through the whole lot?

I'm saving the fic to my hard drive to read later, but I love the description.

That is me trying to sell it. I do not normally try to sell quite so hard as that, so you may feel that I have been misleading.
