Well, bloody hell, it's been one hell of a week in the UK, hasn't it?

I know! Just as I think it's about to calm down something even more mental happens.

I'm half convinced that by mid afternoon on Wednesday the entire establishment will have resigned. It just seems to be that kind of month.

Reading the Guardian liveblogs have left me exhausted (with information) and gleeful with schadenfreude, but now that Murdoch (a contender for the most evil man on Earth) has done his mea culpas, I'm really afraid that Cameron will do his best to sweep it all under the rug. I really hope that that's not the case.

And Andy Hayman was unexpectedly hilarious, if only in the most head-desking way possible.

The schadenfreude is amazing, isn't it?

I don't think Cameron can sweep this under the carpet, there's just too much going on.

God, Andy Hayman, what are you even?

This whole thing just keeps getting crazier and more bizarre.

I've been reading the Guardian live blog all last week at work instead of working - it's fascinating watching it all unravel. I gather we've had a 'suicide' now as well - next up: conspiracy theories!

Oh god, me too. The Guardian live blog is the first thing I'm opening at work at the moment. The only good thing is that everyone at work is as fascinated as I am by the whole thing, so we're all on there, calling back and forth about the latest thing to happen.

It's utterly mental - the whole thing. You couldn't make this up.

And there is the mysterious bag that was found near Rebekah Brooks' home that her husband swears is his and has nothing to do with the phone-hacking. Huummmmmm, right.

Do you get the feeling we're living in a really shitty film?

This is insane.

Plus, if they dumped the bag how have the never seen an episode of any police drama? You never, ever dump anything near your out home.
