I didn't know that Mallozzi was leaving as well. Wow.

He is totally deluded. It doesn't surprise me, either. I can't kind of help but laugh at him for being such a moron.

Brad Wright is such a cock.

The thing is, the reason I am not watching SGU has nothing to do with the huge crap he took on SG-1 and SGA fans by saying what he did. It is because I came to the conclusion, after watching a couple of episodes, that SGU happens to be shite. On its own merits. Without needing the extra justification of bringing what he said into it.

I have no issue with not showing the franchise any loyalty. After all, the fans weren't shown any by the production - we were told that we were 'too old'.

I mean, it would be nice to say we have that much power as a collective that we managed to get this monstrosity off the air. Because if I had my way, most of the execs of the Stargate franchise would never find work again. Alas, Brad is just being Brad - a spoilt, petulant wanker who blames everyone but himself for the failure of his projects.

I would love to believe we had that much power, too. It would be lovely, but in reality the show is just shit. I got bored before the end of the second episode.

And really, he thinks after the way he acted that we're just going to be okay with that. Really? Totally deluded.

Also, where has this idea come of being loyal to a franchise? That's a corporate idea, not a fan one, certainly.

I have to laugh at him now, otherwise I just RAGE too much.

I loved SG-1 and I really liked SGA and I tried SGU. But I did not enjoy it, so why should I continue to watch something if I don't enjoy it? I didn't even follow what he had said, but it sounds really stupid to say the least.

What he said makes the kind of sense that doesn't. I mean, but WHAT?

It's a bad show. How is that our fault?

Moron *eyeroll*

We are powerful, I tell you. The SGA fans have managed to singlehandedly brainwash an entire demographic( the beloved "young people") to not watch SGU. 'giggles'

Wright is such a moron!

SO damn powerful. I'm kind of in awe of how powerful we actually are.

Us oldies can influence those young people who don't know any better.

I cannot believe the ego that guy has.

He alienates the entire fanbase, badly rips off other shows to piece together Universe, tries to go "darker" but doesn't have the writing chops, hires a cast that does not complement each other, and has made the franchise completely unrecognizable and it's not his fault?

Wow.

Where exacly did he think he would be getting viewers from?

Sci-fi fans are one of the loyalist and most obsessed fangroups there are. What did he expect?

I don't watch SGU because I can't stand the lack of cast chemistry, the badly written storylines, the lack of lighting, the crappy steady cam work, and all the unnecessary close-ups.

I want this show cancelled so badly.

Not only does he had a MASSIVE ego, it's not even deserved.

I'm going to be SO happy when this is cancelled. And, really, it's totally going to get cancelled, I think.

Exactly. The SG series was entertaining but it wasn't stellar and thought-provoking writing. On top of that, they all thought they'd get cancelled every year after season 5.

And for the first time I actually want to see Smallville beat SG-1's Guiness record. They both have 10 seasons, but because SV has always had a 22 ep season, they have more episodes.

I really hope so. The ratings keep tanking, no one's watching.
