Episode One bored.

And I don't quite know what to do about it.

Although I am writing - or trying to write - a Friday Night Lights fanfic that is Tim and Julie friendship fic.

It's fun but my brain just won't engage.

Is Friday Night Lights worth watching? I've seen so many posts about it on my flist about it that I'm getting curious. XD It's about American football, right?

Curiosity was what did it for me, too *g*

I'd say it's definitely worth watching.

It is about American Football, but it's about SO much more as well.

It's much more about the characters and what is happening in their lives than just the football.

It's about a high school football team, their coach and various other characters. In most respects the football is secondary to pretty much every other aspect of the show. I mean, football infects every walk of life and every single person in the town, but it's not just about football.

And even if you don't like American football and have no idea of the rules (like me) it doesn't matter. They do a very good job of making you care so much about the characters that you care about the football for them.

It's very clever, funny, angsty, there's a lot of pretty. Really, a lot of pretty *G*

In short, I kind of love it *g*
