I don't get why anyone would call it the new Lost, just because it's about some kind of mystery too. I don't like Lost either, but what I've seen of FlashForward, I really really loved. That alone stands to prove that the shows are nothing alike. So there, you critics. ;)
I still haven't managed to watch it. It's on my ipod (since it's the only USB like thing I have with me at the moment) waiting to be transfered onto my laptop and watched.
And then I'll watch it again on Monday - as long as my mum doesn't mind me invading her TV *g*
The premise of Lost never grabbed my attention like Flash Forward has. Plus, Lost, despite everything they say to the contrary, doesn't seem to have a long term plan in place - way too like the X-Files for my taste in that respect. Flash Forward, on the other hand, does and I like that.
Critic's do say the daftest thing - as to TV execs, really. I always think saying product B is the next product A is a terrible idea. You can put off as many people as you attract with tags like that.
I've not seen either show, but anyone calling anything the new Lost would instantly put me off. I hate Lost and I really don't understand how it is so popular.
Ditto - but since I like the premise and the trailer and a good portion of the cast, I'm not going to let Lost stop me from watching a new show.
I'm pretty sure though, that had I had to endure months of the comparision there is no way I would have watched it. Hearing/reading the phrase six or seven times is bad enough *g*
I wonder if, when selling the show to my friends so they watch, my biggest defense of it is going to be 'nothing like Lost. Promise.' *ponders*
