So the grand day has finally arrived...after probably hte worst election campaign I have ever seen, and we won't even know the final results until October.

Ah well. I'm voting this morning and counting in the afternoon. I figured it was time to see how that was done so I volunteered.

Ah, I did the counting last year at the EU elections. It was pretty frustrating as almost nobody voted at all... Should have volunteered this year too (last year they made me).

If you haven't voted already, make sure to check on the possibilities of negative voting on wahlrecht.de. Dunno which Bundesland you're in, but for mine, Niedersachsen, it told me my Erststimme is worthless. ;-)

And you're right, the campaign sucked muchly. Red/Green behaved as if the last three years never happened, and the Conservatives with their Kirchhoff tax - bah! And nobody had the guts to admit that they can't do a thing against unemployment.

Oh well. I'll go vote now.
