I'm wearing one of the scents Mike gave me to try, Tamora.  In the "imp"  (I can't decide if that's charming or insufferable) it smelled kind of spicy and sweet.

Once I put it on, the first thing that hit me was VANILLA.  Vanilla like bam.  But it mellowed quickly, and it made me think of this scent I used to wear years ago... and I have a very ( Read more... )

Now now, to be fair, that's the same way I break down wine and tea and cheese... even if the dominant quality in those doesn't fade your senses do "fatigue" allowing you to notice the more subtle characteristics.

But yeah... I do like to smell things, so I should probably get more things I can smell on me! :)

See, I was thinking that it *is* the amber in this that's sharp... maybe the way it interacts with the peach blossom? That's my best guess. The bitter edge is *really* subtle, and I kind of like it :)

Because it has sweet support scents, and the vanilla is so strong it comes off pretty girly anyway... so it's probably best it didn't work for you ;)
