Gramps is known as the hero of the marines where I'm from. He's uh. Crazy. To put it nicely. I mean I still love him and everything, and I'm grateful. But yeah, he's very extreme. Other than Pops and Marco he's also one of the strongest people I've ever known. Maybe even more than Marco.

We're strong too. Beside, Jii-jii wouldn't actually kill someone he loves. And he only trains people he loves.

I guess it's true then when they say you're hardest on those you care about. Sounds like you don't regret his teachings though. Hm!

I didn't realize it at the time, but I needed to be every bit as strong as he could make me.

Our teachers and mentors can only train us so much. Life is the true teacher that trains us for everything we face. I'm still learning. Hm!

I know my Master drilled me hard on reading my opponent. No matter how crazy an enemy's attacks are, you should always be looking for their next move in order to choose your counterattack. Dodging and predicting would go well together. What do you think?
