Started the statistics section of one of my health technology courses. Ugh. I hate math but it's not *too* terrible... I mean they give you formulas and with a calculator I can cope just fine

Math is one of those conceptual scenes where mindset can be everything.

It's often frustrating to discover that a subject of study is not effortless. THAT is the place where application of mind tools can make or break us. Stats are still in the realms of Finite/ Linear logics so to speak. There's almost a form of Haunting Beauty inherent in much of Math! How actuary tables for example, can be predictive of future situations. Nope- not of any help in buying a lotto ticket or suchlike. But in predicting what our chances for living longer or shorter based on lifestyle changes etc- Math can give us powers of prediction that most Oracles/Tarot/Tea Leaf readers never can approach.
