I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to have high school reunions, but they deserve to be pummeled in the head for it. And you'd think that with my sister's two years ago, I would be prepared for one; but I was hoping very much that they'd fall miserably out of fashion in those twenty-four months.

There are no proverbs about my high school in Jersey being a proverbial chocolate factory. There are proverbs about New Jersey being a lot of other things, not altogether pleasant things. I for one don't think we should go.
